Cabinet Makeover

I am so very, very excited that Unique Boutiques has agreed to carry bles-id products!  Then I realized something ... I need display space STAT!  On my weekly visit to the Hospice House thrift store I found this little beauty for $3.99.  I thought that was a good deal sooooooo ....

Here she is, sitting in my foyer.  Looking sad and white.  We can do better than that, can't we?

First came a coat of flat back spray paint.  {Shouldn't that always come first?}

Some fabric to line the back.  I used Black and White checks and a mod little floral print from Beverley's Fabric.

A bles-id sticker and a zebra print scallop for the edge.

Some harlequin paper (I accidently turned it on its side.  ugh.) mod podged to the front.  Zebra print mod podged to the knobs.  Fun ribbon and yarn to dress up the pulls and TA DA!  I've got myself a new display case!  Yea Me!
I think I need to link this up to somewhere.  How about ...

  9. Thanks so much for dropping by my blog and exploring my tablescapes. I am a decorative painter, and I really like your treatment on the display cabinet. Your choice of pattern is excellent, and I happen to like the harlequin paper done 'with a twist.' I'd tell people that I did it on purpose! Thank you for sharing your charming design. Come back often for a visit, please! Cherry Kay
